About the Company

Our client is building the Agentic Operating System for Clinical Trial Execution.

Clinical trials are one of the most operationally complex, expensive, and failure-prone systems in healthcare. Despite massive innovation in therapeutics, trial execution still runs on fragmented tooling, manual workflows, and overloaded clinical operations teams.

Our client is changing that by building an agent-native platform that can execute, coordinate, and automate the workflows that power modern clinical trials.

The founder has already raised a seed round and has signed customers.

The Role

This is a CTO/Cofounder to build the platform from 0 to 1. The right person will architect and ship the first production system, then grow the engineering team around it.

This individual will be the technical counterpart to the founder, owning platform decisions, execution velocity, and technical strategy.

The goal is to deliver a functioning V1 platform ready to deploy with customers in the next 2 to 3 months.

What You Will Do

Build the Product (0 to 1)

• Architect and ship the first version of the platform end-to-end

• Design agentic workflows for clinical trial execution

• Build production-grade RAG pipelines, orchestration layers, and automation systems

• Own technical decisions across backend, frontend, infrastructure, and AI systems

Develop Agentic Infrastructure

• Implement agent frameworks using tools like LangChain or equivalents

• Build retrieval, memory, and tool-use systems for real-world enterprise workflows

• Fine-tune or adapt models where needed for domain-specific execution

• Ensure reliability, observability, and safety in autonomous task execution

Operate as a Cofounder

• Partner closely with the founder on strategy, product direction, and roadmap

• Join customer meetings to deeply understand workflow pain points

• Support fundraising efforts through technical narrative and credibility

• Hire and lead the first engineering team as the company scales

What Our Client Is Looking For

This role is for someone who is both a builder and an architect. Someone who has shipped real systems and understands what it takes to create agentic infrastructure in production.

Ideal Background

• Experience designing or building platforms from the ground up in real-world environments

• Experience as a Cofounder in a venture-backed startup or a Founding Engineer at a high-growth company

• Strong fullstack engineering skills with infrastructure fluency

• Deep understanding of:

  • RAG pipelines

  • Tool-using agents

  • Workflow orchestration

  • Model adaptation and fine-tuning

• Familiarity with LangChain or comparable agent frameworks
